Job Description:
Are you the “go-to” expert for facilities operations, skilled in
water systems, air compressors, building sprinkler systems, and
electrical power distribution? Join our Kansas City, KS plant as a
Facilities Technician, where you’ll play a vital role in keeping
our environment safe, efficient, and running smoothly. This is a
second shift position (2 pm – 10 pm), working all week. The
starting hourly pay rate for this position is $37.93. You’ll be
part of a collaborative team that values technical expertise,
problem-solving, and a commitment to safety. Here, your work will
directly support our mission to deliver world-class products and
maintain a top-tier facility. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
Technical Troubleshooting & Repairs – Diagnose, repair, and
maintain building equipment assets such as natural gas-fired
boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and oxidizers. Facility Systems
Maintenance – Perform millwork, carpentry, electrical, plumbing,
and mechanical tasks to ensure optimal operation of plant systems
and equipment. Project Leadership – Evaluate work orders, determine
scope and procedures, and lead installation, maintenance, and
repair projects—guiding other technicians as needed. Safety &
Compliance – Consistently follow and enforce all safety, health,
and quality procedures to support our production goals. Customer
Service & Collaboration – Build strong relationships with plant
partners, respond to issues with urgency, and conduct daily rounds
to identify and resolve facility needs. We’re Looking for Someone
With High School Diploma or GED. Experience in facility maintenance
within an industrial or manufacturing setting, including hands-on
work with building systems such as HVAC, boilers, chillers, air
compressors, water and sprinkler systems, and electrical power
distribution. Demonstrated ability to perform both preventive and
corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure
all systems operate safely and efficiently to support plant
operations. Knowledge of standard tools, equipment, materials, and
practices in building maintenance crafts. Ability to diagnose,
troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
systems. Skill in reading, interpreting, and working from rough
sketches, blueprints, and technical drawings. Familiarity with
safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to facility
