offers a dynamic opportunity to support students across a large
K-12 school district in Independence, MO, serving as a flexible
paraprofessional. The role involves providing essential assistance
in special education classrooms, with responsibilities that may
include 1:1 support, general classroom aid, and support for
toileting and personal care needs. Candidates must be adaptable, as
work hours vary between 7.5 and 37 hours per week, depending on
weekly call outs, with schedules ranging from early morning to
afternoon shifts. Key Responsibilities: - Provide paraprofessional
support across various elementary, middle, and high schools,
floating as needed - Assist in special education classrooms and
support students with individualized needs - Perform personal care
duties, including toileting and changing, as required - Cover for
staff absences to maintain continuity in student learning and care
- Collaborate with teaching staff to help create a positive
learning environment Qualifications & Experience: - Active
Substitute Certificate listed on the Missouri Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website - Experience
working in educational settings, preferably as a paraprofessional
in special education - Comfortable providing personal care and
support for students with diverse needs - Ability to adapt to
varying schedules and floating assignments across multiple schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Location:Independence, Missouri, within a K-12 school district
comprising 22 elementary, 6 middle, and 5 high schools. Benefits &
