Support students in a dynamic school environment as a paraprofessional dedicated to assisting with behavioral and developmental needs. This position is based in Independence, MO, at a local school and runs on a contract basis from early April through late May. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 support to a male student from 7:30 AM to 2:55 PM at the Jacobs Center. - Assist with behavior management, utilizing preferred training such as MANDT or CPI (training provided if needed). - Support toileting needs and adapt to potential classroom changes within the site. - Maintain flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying demands of the classroom. Desired Qualifications: - Active paraprofessional certification or substitute certification preferred; RBT certification acceptable if active. - Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges. - Comfort and patience in providing personal care support, including toileting assistance. - Ability to complete required background checks and drug screenings promptly. - Willingness to undergo district-required prints and authorization processes early in employment. - Flexibility to start shortly after spring break, with availability from April 6 through May 28.
