Job Description Job Description SERVICE TECHNICIAN (ASE CERTIFIED) Location: Oakes Auto Group | Kansas City, MO Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday Compensation: $40 per hour , based on experience and certifications ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced, ASE Certified Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing vehicles accurately and efficiently while delivering a high level of workmanship and customer care. PAY & BENEFITS Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off paid holidays Employee discounts Career growth across multiple stores Locally owned and operated Tuition reimbursement Community involvement and volunteer opportunities WHAT YOU’LL DO Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning Test-drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify issues Communicate directly with Service Advisors regarding repair needs, timelines, and additional recommendations Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic and mechanical abilities who is detail-oriented and committed to quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate brings a positive, team-focused attitude with strong communication skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment. A willingness to continue learning new technology and evolving repair procedures is essential for success in this role. REQUIREMENTS ASE Certification required Minimum of 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred B-level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record Ability to pass a standard background check Strong reliability and consistent attendance Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems ABOUT OAKES AUTO GROUP Oakes Auto Group is a locally owned and rapidly growing dealership group serving the Kansas City metro.
