Job DescriptionSaint Luke's East Hospital is now hiring experienced Certified Nursing Assistants for the brand new Medical Observation Unit. This unit is supported by leading technology and a virtual nurse team to answer call lights and assist the floor nurses. This team will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital.It will be a busy unit with frequent admissions and discharges. This nursing position is supported by Certified Nursing Assistants, Registered Nurses, and a virtual RN team. Each patient room will have a screen where they can quickly interact with a virtual nurse and other leading technology, enhancing the patient care experience.Saint Luke's East is looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) passionate about patient care, helping others, and providing a superior quality of care!This position will give you the opportunity to:

  • Providing patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN
  • Performing direct and indirect patient care tasks
  • Assisting with activities of daily living and care such as bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning
  • Anticipating the patient's family needs in a proactive fashion
  • Individualizing and modifying care according to the patient's needs
  • Collaborating with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care
