Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a compact or MO RN license and strong telemetry skills. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit in an acute hospital setting - Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 18:45 - 07:15 - Handles a patient ratio of 1:5 - Frequent floating between departments, units, and facilities as needed - Cares for a diverse patient population including stroke, heart failure, respiratory failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, renal failure, and post-surgical patients - Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, rapid response, hemodialysis management, and various respiratory therapies required - Uses Epic EMR - May be required to take charge RN assignments and work holiday shifts as needed - Must work a minimum of 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period - No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility - No travel partners accepted for this assignment - Up to 7 days of time off permitted during the contract - Pre-employment and annual module training required and must be completed before start date - Candidates with first-time traveler status are accepted - Scrub dress code in effect per unit requirements /n /n Requirements/n - Active MO or compact RN license in hand prior to start - Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in Med/Surg Tele with at least 1 year within the past 12 months and no gap in employment over 90 days - Current BLS certification required - NIHSS certification required, ACLS preferred - Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and provide telemetry monitoring - Proficiency with IV therapy, blood product administration, and care of central and peripheral lines - Experience with rapid response teams and emergency protocols - Two professional references required: at least one supervisor and one charge RN from the past year - Must complete drug screening and pre-employment labs within specified timelines /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-612655.
