qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Lees Summit, Missouri, 64086! Pay
Information $2,171 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 3 years in specialty License: Pending license accepted
Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRPS Must-Have: Experience in labor and
delivery, antepartum, and postpartum care. Ability to assist with
high-risk delivery and manage complications. Proficient in various
fetal monitoring techniques and IV management. Description: The
Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery unit will provide care to
antepartum and intrapartum patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is
typically 1:1 but may vary based on patient acuity.
Responsibilities include performing sterile vaginal exams,
assisting with deliveries, and monitoring fetal heart rates. The
nurse will administer medications, including Pitocin and magnesium
sulfate, and manage IV therapy. The role requires experience with
various complications such as pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes,
and postpartum hemorrhage. There is an expectation to float to the
postpartum unit to provide couplet care or postpartum care.
Participation in on-call shifts is required, as is covering weekend
shifts. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential.
The candidate must be committed to maintaining high standards of
