Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent specialty experience required License: Must hold a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience required - Recent specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gaps in employment greater than 90 days Description: This position involves managing a 1:4 patient ratio. The role requires expertise in pediatrics, psychiatric care, IV therapy, and respiratory management. Key skills include managing abdominal pain, asthma, burns, head injuries, and infections. Experience with mental/behavioral health conditions and poison ingestion is essential. Candidates should be proficient in central line care, chest tube management, and intubation. Proficiency in administering emergency medications, IV sedation, and vasopressors is required. Knowledge of dysrhythmias interpretation and management is necessary. Candidates should also be familiar with triage and isolation precautions. The position includes weekend requirements, with at least 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Floating to meet facility needs may be required. Candidates must meet all training and compliance requirements prior to start. References from previous employment, including one from a supervisor, are required.
