Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Independence, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,887 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Team-oriented - Positive attitude - Ability to stay busy - Patient-centered Description: Position eligible for guaranteed hours. Unit information includes 36 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Utilize clinical care coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries for staffing. Required equipment includes I-med, I-mobile, Neurons for vital monitoring, glucometers, PCA, wound vac, chest tubes, and surgical drains. Documentation system is Meditech. Scheduling requires working every other weekend. Patient types include Med-Surg, oncology, and hospice patients. Also accepting hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring without interventions. Typical procedures performed on unit are wound vac changes, drain removal, IV/PICC line management, Foley insertion/removal, and NG insertion/removal. Floating areas include Med-Surg and telemetry for Med-Surg level patients. Dress code requires pewter (gray) for nurses and Caribbean blue for PCTs.
