ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Position eligible for 48 guaranteed hours • Work on 23-bed medical surgical unit providing general medical surgical care • 3 weekend shifts required per 4 week schedule • 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays required • Float to other medical surgical units and telemetry as needed • Required certifications: RN license, BLS, inpatient hospital nursing experience • Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH CPI • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy, black, or white jacket and undershirt • Work with equipment including Pyxis, hoyer lift, sara steady, Welch Allen VS machines, Dynamaps, hover mat for patient transfers • Electronic medical record system: Meditech • Work alongside charge nurses, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries • Must demonstrate patient-focused care, attention to detail, teamwork, and positive attitude Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides a wide range of medical and surgical services to the community.
