here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do: - Provide occupational
therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness
or injury - Work as part of a home health team which may include an
RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT and SLP, focused on the patient’s plan of
care and personal goals - Assist patient with exercises to improve
fine motor skills and coordination - Suggest adaptive equipment
such as grab bars and shower chairs to offer added support -
Introduce strategies to improve home safety - Educate patient and
family on plan of care, exercises, goals and self-care A few
must-haves for Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistants: -
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active
OTA license in Kansas - CPR certification - Knowledge of state and
federal home health regulations - Good clinical judgment, strong
