Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized Registered Nurse opportunity is available in the Operating Room, based in Olathe, KS. This contract role offers a chance to work with advanced surgical teams focusing on key specialties in a dynamic hospital environment. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following areas: ENT (including trach/airways, head/neck flaps, ears, and soft tissue cases), Neuro (such as burr holes and craniotomies), or surgical oncology involving cutting-edge robotic systems like Da Vinci Xi, 5, SP, Rosa, and Globus navigation. Qualifications & Desired Experience: - Active KS or Compact Registered Nurse license - AHA BLS certification - Proficiency in at least one specialty: ENT, Neuro, or surgical oncology robotics - Level I trauma experience preferred - Ability to float to all OR areas as needed Schedule/Hours: - Days: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM - Most likely Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts Responsibilities: - Deliver expert perioperative nursing care tailored to specialty needs - Collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary team members - Participate in an 8-hour orientation including nursing and electronic health record training - Adhere to facility policies, including nicotine-free workplace guidelines - Provide coverage on-call as required, with no weekend or holiday mandatory shifts Additional Information: - Orientation is conducted in person with a structured schedule - Strict adherence to obtaining credentials one week before the start date - Bi-weekly pay and a contract structure allowing for occasional cancellations with notice About Olathe, KS:Situated near the Kansas City metropolitan area, Olathe boasts a vibrant community with a blend of suburban charm and access to urban amenities.
