Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Kansas City,
Missouri, 64154! Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required License:
Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP
required; AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
Must-Have: - IV therapy/Phlebotomy skills - Labor and Delivery
Management experience - Neonatal Care in Delivery Room experience -
Postpartum Care and Procedures experience - Effective communication
skills Description: Registered Nurse with a specialty in Labor and
Delivery is needed. The RN will provide care in Labor, Delivery,
Recovery, and Postpartum settings. Ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 for patient
management. First-timers are not accepted for this position.
Availability for holiday shifts and charge RN assignments is
required. Weekend rotation includes 4-6 weekend shifts
(Saturday/Sunday) and 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule. Holiday
requirements include 1 major holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas)
and 1-2 minor holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July,
or Labor Day). Skills required include IV therapy, administration
of blood and blood products, and drawing venous blood. Experience
in labor management, including amnioinfusion and assisting with
vaginal deliveries, is needed. The RN will circulate for Cesarean
sections and assist with forceps/vacuum extractions. Experience in
recovering C-sections and performing sterile vaginal exams is
essential. Postpartum care includes patient education,
breastfeeding support, and management of complications. The role
requires recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate
patterns. Additional care includes antepartum procedures and
postpartum assessments. Floating may be necessary within the unit
as required. On-call shifts will be mandatory, with 2 shifts each
6-week schedule. The position requires high-level critical thinking
