Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Perfusionist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: /n Perfusionist - Perfusionist /n/n Job Details: /n • MUST have ABCP certification and Missouri perfusionist license required /n• Minimum 5 years CCP (Certified Clinical Perfusionist) experience required /n• Must have experience with Spectrum HLM (Heart Lung Machine) /n• Experience required with Spectrum Quantum pumps and Centrifugal pump head (not roller head) /n• Adult patients only with average pump time of 2.5 hours /n• Minimal ECMO experience with Cardiohelp ECMO Pump /n• Must be willing to take call - on average 2 days per week /n• Shared weekly/weekend call requirements with 2 perfusionists on call daily /n• Work with volume of approximately 500 heart surgeries per year /n• Procedures performed include: CABG, MVR, AVR, Aortic Dissections, TAVR, ECMO initiation /n• Equipment includes: Spectrum Quantum HLM, CATS Cell Saver, Cardioquip H/C, Cardiohelp /n• Documentation systems: Viper/Spectrum, Meditech /n• Work at both Research Medical Center and Overland Park Regional Medical Center /n• BLS certification required /n• Excellent verbal communication skills essential /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare organization operates multiple medical centers providing comprehensive cardiac surgery services with a high-volume heart program performing approximately 500 cardiac procedures annually. The perfusion team consists of experienced professionals including 7 full-time and 2 part-time perfusionists with 2 assistants, utilizing advanced equipment and technology for cardiac surgery support.
