Job Description:

Seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join a growing academic program in the Kansas City area as an Academic Attending / Core Faculty member. This is a unique opportunity to help build a newly accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program while balancing clinical care with teaching and mentorship.


Position Highlights & Schedule:

• Faculty appointment based on experience
• Work alongside residents and medical students in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Mix of inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing care
• Inpatient schedule: 7 on / 7 off
• Outpatient schedule: Monday Friday
• Shared call schedule with approximately 1 in 4 weekends for inpatient rounding
• Active role in teaching lectures, didactics, and curriculum development
• Provide mentorship and evaluation of residents and students
• Participate in program development and evaluation
• Research opportunities available with dedicated support

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and mentorship
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Commitment to program development and resident education
