Raytheon has an opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer
to join our Surveillance Sensor Radio Frequency (RF) Solutions
Engineering Team in the Dallas, TX area. We encourage curious,

practices and apply new technologies to develop next generation
capabilities that help keep our country safe. The Software
organization develops the applications that drive missiles,
launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex
systems, as well as the integration and test software. These
applications integrate firmware, operating systems, device drivers,
networking, and control software to bring together sensor,
guidance, and flight control capabilities to complete the mission.
The Software org is made up of several Centers located across the
country, responsible for all aspects of the software development

Will Do This position is for a Software Engineer who has
professional experience in the development and implementation of
software for real-time applications. Deliverables include but not
limited to: Architecting, designing, implementing, testing, and
debugging integrated embedded real-time software within
heterogenous systems composed of firmware and hardware. Working
within a cross-discipline team to define, refine, and improve
product concept, implementation, testability, and guaranteed,
measurable quality. Teaching, coaching, and mentoring less
experienced staff. Contributing to proposals as well as preliminary
and critical design reviews. This position may require occasional
business-related travel. Qualifications You Must Have Typically
requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant
experience. Experience in developing, testing, and integrating
real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related
software languages. Development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or
other Real Time Operating Systems. Experience developing complex
systems involving the integration of hardware, firmware, and
software. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret
security clearance . U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S.
citizens are eligible for a security clearance. This job is onsite
in Plano, TX (TX217); applicants must be in the area or willing to
relocate to it. Qualifications We Prefer: Ability to quickly
understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security
clearance Windows OS, VM/container and reverse engineering
experience Experience with product development utilizing the Scrum
techniques of the Agile software development process. Experience
with DevSecOps pipeline implementation and use, including Static
Code Analysis, Automated Build, and Automated Test techniques using
continuous integration/continuous delivery with Test-Driven

role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a
good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
