Job Description Job Description Description: The Production Technician position is proficient at woring on a production line, able to perform all postion functions in an accurate and efficient manner. Complies with all safety regulations, work rules, SOP’s and company policies. Ensures that line meets all BRC, GMP and safety standards. Major Accountabilities Competent operation of equipment and execution of all aspects of job. Responsible for completing all paperwork in an accurate manner. Responsible for following all written instructions and formulas. Responsible for complying with all safety regulations, food safety procedures including all BRC and GMP requirements and specifications, and use of the appropriate PPE. Generalized Tasks Clean and sterilize vats and factory processing areas. Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity, bouquet, or color. Inspect equipment after cleaning to ensure that product residue has been removed. Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks or plugging, and report malfunctions supervisors. Place products on carts or conveyors to transfer them to the next stage of processing. Record production and test data for each food product batch, such as the ingredients used, temperature, test results, and time cycle. Set up, operate, and tend equipment that mixes, blends, or processes ingredients in the manufacturing of food products, according to formulas or recipes. Perform safety inspections in manufacturing or industrial setting. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse or related environment preferred. Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent Must be able to perform job functions. Requires the use of: telephones, paging system, PC, timekeeping, and other machines and equipment. Must either be fully vacinated against COVID 19 or agree to become fully vacinated within 30 days of being offered a position. Must provide proof of vaccination status. Employees requiring Medical or Religious exemptions must provide written poof of need for exemption. Physical Demands Ability to lift 50 Lbs. repetitively throughout the day. Must possess the physical abilities to meet standards of a Level 3 Medium Work Job as defined by the U. S. Department of Labor. Must be able to ascend and descend steps. Must be able to push and pull 100 Lbs. throughout the day. Position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, manual dexterity, ability to see details at close range and to differentiate colors, ability to listen to and understand spoken words and phrases, ability to communicate information verbally, ability to read and understand ideas presented in writing, ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so that others will understand. Working Environment Indoors manufacturing facility; the use of hearing protection is required, along with other personal protective equipment as necessary.Exposure to extreme climates both indoors and out, including heat in the summer months and cold in the winter months.
