Position Title: Business Excellence Lead- Consumer Packing Solutions Division

Location: Lee's Summit, Missouri or Dayton, Ohio
This position will be located at either Lees' Summit, Missouri or Dayton, Ohio with time split 50/50 between these locations. Frequent travel will be required.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the VP Operations CPS Division, the Business Excellence Lead will be responsible for implementing high impact process improvement initiatives that lead to improvements in performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the business. Initially the focus will be the CPS operations in North America and Canada with opportunity to scale across the Division globally. This role requires a balance of strategic vision with a hands-on approach. The person in this role will be required to train and mentor staff on
best practices and implementation.

Overview of Key Duties:
Process Improvement
Leads business critical high impacting projects for the CPS Division and ensures they are delivered within planned timelines and with expected measurable output; analyze current business processes to identify and prioritize opportunities, develop short term wins and long-term strategies, lead all project activities through to execution and monitor progress.
Drives continuous improvement culture through delivery of content and training on Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement Root Cause Analysis, etc.
Monitors the training and development of staff, looking for opportunities to strengthen their skills or acquire new ones.
Program Management:
Partner with Plant General Managers to drive critical business improvement initiatives.
Develops, implements and governs KPI reporting for the portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects.
Manages multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates ability to scope projects and prioritize in alignment to business objectives.
Communicates across all levels on project and program progress.
Scope of Responsibility & Complexity:
Initially the focus will be the CPS operations in North America and Canada with opportunity to scale across the Division globally.
Partner with key stakeholders (Plant GMs and Director R&D)

What you will bring to the role:
5 years plus of proven experience achieving sustained process improvements (process optimization, reduction of scrap/cycle times etc..) within plastics manufacturing specifically injection molding.
Technical competency in injection molding, tooling design and maintenance and DOE processing etc..
Scientific molding background/training (RJG or other)
Automation experience (programming and optimization)
Moldflow / Plastic injection & Compression software
Lean Manufacturing (certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt a plus)
Proven experience in problem solving methodology
Certified in program/project management methodology & tools a plus
Food packaging and thin wall molding experience a plus
This is a hands-on role requiring demonstrated ability to lead on all aspects of project
Proven ability to influence stakeholders across the organization without direct reporting lines.
Proven experience leading large-scale complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders, involving multiple (5 or more) internal/external customers.
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to facilitate multiple discussions.
Experience working as part of a global team with multiple time zones and geographically dispersed resources.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize work, handle changing priorities.
Excellent analytical skills
Communicates effectively across all levels (both oral and written)
Proven experience in successfully training and mentoring staff in business excellence / process improvement best practices
