Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:
The Receiving and Distribution Coordinator is primarily responsible
for the daily receipt of material, gathering and communicating
receipt information, controlling material storage condition
placement during arrival on-site, assist with material putaway, and
help maintain a clean, clear working environment.
This is a full time position , working Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM
with overtime as needed.
Please note we are moving to a new facility in February 2022and
this position will be relocated to Lenexa, KS.
Essential Job Duties:
Unload daily delivery trucks and verify the correct material and
quantities are received against packing slips.
Investigate receipt and inventory discrepancies.
Deliver and stage material to laboratories and laboratory
Work directly with laboratory personnel to ensure material and
delivery goals are met.
Ensure areas of control are processing under applicable SOPs.
Manage outgoing mail and assist with incoming mail as needed.
Ensure recommended vehicle maintenance and repairs are
Maintain a clean, organized facility and assist in daily waste and
Utilize internal software systems.
Operate pallet jack to load and unload delivery trailers.
Operate pallet jack to move heavy equipment from one building to
another multiple times a day, year around.
Actively participate in team and company meetings.
Other administrative duties as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Perform all duties of Level I, and in addition:
Drives reductions in unplanned events and focuses on improving
first pass quality.
Focuses on driving productivity improvements through 5S, Lean, and
other process improvement tools, while maintaining high quality
Assist Safety Officer in emergency response and preparedness.
Assist with transporting specimen deliveries to laboratories as
needed using corporate vehicle and notify Client Services of any
delays in specimen delivery.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and
Fill orders on a weekly basis for the various labs located
throughout the facility.
Use company owned vehicle to travel to local equipment, supply or
building material dealers to pick up miscellaneous parts, supplies
or tools needed, adhering to the company Travel and Expense
Operate forklift or other machinery as necessary to unload or move
components for storage, staging, or placement.
Perform all duties of Level II, and in addition:
Develop and maintain best practice operating procedures surrounding
receiving and storing biopharmaceutical, clinical, and/or GMP
Lead improvement initiatives within Supply Chain receiving
Point of contact for receiving questions and detailing received
material information between departments.
Lead daily tasks in receiving and putaway to full execution.
Actively engaged in internal departmental needs.
Effectively control the internal movement of material.
Assist Procurement and Inventory Control with cycle counting and
Communicate department needs to senior leadership.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Level I: Minimum
High school diploma/GED required, some college coursework or degree
Clean driving record. Must be able to operate company vehicles
including a 24' box truck and cargo van.
Basic knowledge of building operations and upkeep, as well as
Comfortable handling/transporting raw specimens to laboratories and
assisting with support duties within the laboratories.
Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, stoop, bend, and walk extended
Hold and maintain a valid driver's license and excellent driving
Ability to manage projects, prioritize, and multi-task.

operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
